It’s ninety years since the release of BONNIE SCOTLAND.
The Laurel and Hardy feature was released in the USA on the 23rd August 1935 and four months later in the UK.
A month before its USA release, the Dundee based Scottish newspaper The Sunday Post announced its imminent arrival in an article written by Robert Watson.
When I read this article I felt that Robert Watson may have had Scottish roots, and this piqued my curiosity to discover more.
Future articles will look more closely at the film Bonnie Scotland, Scottish voices and at the lives of four Scottish expats in the golden age of Hollywood.
