Charity donation of £500
The sale of Christmas cards and calendars, along with other collectables, plus some donations, means that we have once again been able to donate the magnificent sum of £500 to Variety, the Children’s Charity.
Our thanks go to all those folk who supported our fund-raising. The Call of the Cuckoos Tent and Bowler Dessert Online are very appreciative.
The Perry Winkle 102

Kickstarter campaign
In order to produce our extensive book, which is very expensive to produce due to printing and rights costs etc and which will be self-published, we are dependent on crowdfunding via Kickstarter. And we very much hope that we will reach the funding target there, because only then (according to the "all or nothing" principle) will we receive the money pledged by the backers up to that point, minus the Kickstarter costs.
That's why we need all the support we can get and would be very happy if you could spread the word about our book and the Kickstarter campaign via your friends from the Sons of the Desert and encourage your friends, fans, followers etc to support our project on Kickstarter so that as many people as possible can participate in the Kickstarter campaign and we can publish this book - and later the second volume.
If you have any questions or need more pictures, information etc., please feel free to contact me!

Lovely card
Mike Jones and his Beau Chumps Tent have produced a marvellous Christmas card.
”Good old fish and chips!”
The Bonnie Scotland Tent’s Christmas meal will be on Saturday 13 January in Alan’s Chippy, 6 Storie St, Paisley. As
well as fish and chips, there are omelettes, baked potatoes, toasties etc. There is also a 3-course meal for £6!!
While the meal may be dry, the rest of the afternoon won’t be. The idea is to book a booth in the Bull Inn where we will have our quiz, and yes, the raffle too.
